The time to conceive is different for each couple and even each pregnancy. Fertell can help any couple who has been trying to conceive that is looking for more information about their fertility. It is an important first step for any couple who has been trying to conceive.

The Male & Female Fertility Tests: One-time use only

Male Test: Indicates concentration of motile sperm in semen. Motile sperm are the sperm that can readily swim to fertilize an egg.

The male fertility test involves producing a semen sample and then following a few simple steps, such as pushing a button and turning a switch. Results in 80 minutes.

The male test should be taken at least 2 days (48 hours) after his last ejaculation. If he has not ejaculated within the last 7 days, he should ejaculate and then wait 2 days before producing a sample to perform the test.

    Female Test: Indicates ovarian reserve

Measures the level of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) in urine on the third day of your period. FSH is an indicator of Ovarian Reserve, which is a measure of the age of your ovaries and their ability to respond to FSH in order to produce eggs capable of fertilization.

Simple to use - The female fertility test is an easy-to-use urine dipstick, conducted similarly to pregnancy tests. The female test should be taken on Day 3 of your period and with first morning urine. Results in 30 minutes.

Disclaimers: Fertell should not be used by women on birth control or those undergoing assisted reproductive techniques such as IVF or those taking fertility drugs containing FSH. For women who have recently stopped taking oral contraceptives, your cycle may take some time to stabilize. Wait until you have had two normal periods before you use the Fertell female test.

We’ve both taken our test, now what?

Results within normal range: If the results indicate that your concentration of motile sperm and FSH are within normal levels, then you should continue trying to conceive.

You should contact your physician's office if the female:

    • is under 35 and has been trying for over 12 months
    • is 35 or over and has been trying for over 6 months
    • has had no menstrual discharge or has irregular intervals between periods.

For example, you are 33 years old and have been trying for 2 months when you took the Fertell test. You should try to conceive for no more than an additional ten months before contacting your physician if you are still not pregnant.

Results outside the normal range: If the results indicate that your concentration of motile sperm or FSH level are outside normal ranges, then you should consult your physician's office for further discussion.

Fertell does not detect all fertility issues. It is an initial screening for key fertility elements.
