Herb Lore Organic Fenugreek Tincture

$19.99

Fenugreek is one of the most effective and popular herbs for increasing breastmilk production for nursing mothers. Adoptive moms have successfully used Fenugreek to help establish breast milk to feed their adopted babies.

  • 2 oz bottle will last about 2 weeks with average usage.
  • 4 oz bottle will last about 4 weeks with average usage.

Suggested Use: 3 droppersful 3 times daily. If the desired results are not seen within 24 hours, slowly increase one dropperful, three times a day, until desired results are achieved.

A Droppersful = Bulb Squeeze = Approximately 30 drops of liquid tincture. Glass tube will only be partially filled with the tincture. Taking the tincture directly under the tongue and avoiding any liquids or foods for at least 15 minutes afterward provides the best results.

Caution: Fenugreek should also be avoided by diabetics or those on strict insulin regimens. Fenugreek is also a member of the Legume family, so people with allergies or sensitivities should avoid Fenugreek as well.

Fenugreek must be used with consistency, as inconsistent use can result in either an inconsistent milk supply, the product not working at all, or even a drop in milk supply. Inconsistent Fenugreek use is like turning the faucet of breastmilk up and down.

Once the milk supply is stable, it is recommended to gradually wean down from Fenugreek, as a sudden decrease in herb consumption can cause a drop in milk supply.

In a small percentage of people, Fenugreek can cause gas in the mother and/or baby. If this is a problem for you or your baby you can try adding Tummy Tea or Nursing Tea which both contain fennel, an effective gas reliever.

Other companies will include fenugreek as one of the ingredients of a nursing blend. Fenugreek is actually best used without being added to other products so the dosage of the fenugreek per serving can be regulated. Inconsistent fenugreek dosing can lead to inconsistent breastmilk production.

Using a tincture might be new to you. If it is you can read all about the difference between the alcohol based and non -alcohol based tinctures and how to use them on our tincture support page.
